Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dog Bather/Receptionist to join our grooming salon. This dual-role position offers an excellent opportunity for animal lovers with a passion for pet care and customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to our canine clients while also managing front desk responsibilities to ensure smooth shop operations. Prior experience in animal handling, pet grooming, and customer service is highly valued, along with a genuine love for animals and excellent communication skills.

Duties
- Bathe & dry dogs according to breed standards and client specifications, ensuring a comfortable experience for each pet
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work areas
- Manage front desk operations including scheduling appointments, checking clients in and out, and answering phone inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions and concerns professionally
- Keep detailed records of grooming services performed and client preferences
- Assist with kennel cleaning and maintenance to ensure a sanitary environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in pet grooming, animal handling, or veterinary settings such as veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus
- Knowledge of dog training, pet sitting, or equine experience is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting pets or equipment)
- Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and pet care procedures
- Passion for animals with a caring attitude towards pets of all sizes and temperaments
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior kennel experience or pet grooming skills are highly desirable
