Duties
- Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to ensure textiles are thoroughly cleaned and properly maintained.
- Handle laundry materials with care, including sorting, folding, ironing, and organizing linens and uniforms to meet quality standards.
- Use push carts and other equipment to transport heavy loads safely across the laundry area while adhering to manual handling safety protocols.
- Follow strict sanitation procedures and safety standards during all laundry processes to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
- Manage laundry detergents and cleaning chemicals responsibly, ensuring proper usage according to safety guidelines.
- Assist with textile cleaning tasks such as stain removal, garment care, and inspection for damages or wear.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly sanitizing workstations and equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleaning or laundry services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely and efficiently.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents, chemicals, and understanding weight capacities.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and garment care.
- Excellent customer service skills to support hotel staff and guests when needed.
- Familiarity with laundry detergents, textile cleaning techniques, dry cleaning processes, and operation of garment care machines is advantageous but not mandatory.
