The Facility Technician performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems and equipment. The role helps ensure that the organization's facilities remain safe, functional, and compliant with applicable regulations.

Core Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems and equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment and infrastructure.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.

Interact with Ghost Ranch guests in a welcoming and professional manner.

Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance issues.

Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and service records.

Support facility improvement and renovation projects

Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance workshops and storage areas.

Follow all necessary safety procedures.
Qualifications

Maintaining a clean driving record is required for this position. Ghost Ranch will require a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) to be approved prior to hire

Desired Technical Skills

Electrical: Basic electrical troubleshooting, repair and installation of switches, outlets, ballast, and lighting fixtures; familiarity with single-phase electrical systems and lock-out/tag-out safety protocols.

Plumbing: General plumbing maintenance, clearing drain clogs, repairing pipe leaks, servicing water heaters, and replacing valves, faucets, and restroom fixtures.

Carpentry: Structural and finish carpentry repairs, drywall patching and framing, door/window hardware alignment, and minor cabinet/furniture repairs.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Working indoors and outdoors is required depending on maintenance requirements.

Must be able to lift up to 40lbs on a regular basis.

May require heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined areas.

May be required to work weekends, shifts, or be on call for emergency maintenance.

Must use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures.
