Hello, my name is Joe Tibbets and I am the new General Manager for Sonic of Troy in Troy NY. I am looking to enhance my current team with additional SHIFT LEADER MANAGERS and CREW MEMBERS for DAY, EVENING AND OVERNIGHT shifts.
We're on the lookout for a motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Shift Leader and Crew Member at our fast-food restaurant. This role is all about creating a fun, efficient, and welcoming environment where guests feel valued and satisfied. As a Shift Leader, you'll take charge of managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. As a Crew Member, you'll be the friendly face handling food prep, customer service, and supporting team efforts. Duties
- Lead shift operations by coordinating team activities, managing time efficiently, and ensuring excellent customer service.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking to meet quality standards while maintaining safety and cleanliness.
- Operate POINT OF SALE (POS) system such as INFOR for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy.
- Assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels, restocking supplies, and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
- Train new team members on food safety practices, customer service protocols, and restaurant procedures.
- Supervise food production processes including food handling, kitchen management, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Support management in analyzing profit and loss data to optimize restaurant performance and profitability.
Requirements
- Prior experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is highly preferred; experience in casual dining or hospitality management is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction handling.
- Excellent communication skills to motivate staff and engage with customers effectively.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic budgeting or financial analysis tasks.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling procedures, and kitchen management practices.
- A positive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences in a fast-paced environment.
