Embassy of Woodview in Columbus, OH is seeking a Full Time Director of Rehab (DOR) to join our growing In-House therapy team. Our dedicated therapy team has a track record of producing comprehensive results through our physical, occupational and speech therapy programs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the therapy department, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy services.
- Manage staffing schedules, productivity, caseload distribution, and therapist performance.
- Recruit, onboard, train, mentor, and retain rehabilitation staff.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, PDPM, and documentation standards.
- Monitor clinical outcomes, therapy utilization, and quality measures to ensure optimal resident progress.
- Review and approve evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge summaries.
- Lead interdisciplinary care plan meetings and collaborate with nursing, administration, and physicians regarding resident care.
- Analyze financial performance including labor costs, revenue, billing accuracy, and department productivity.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve census growth, therapy capture rates, and resident satisfaction.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all therapy documentation and billing.
- Address customer service concerns and maintain strong communication with residents, families, and facility partners.
- Support facility initiatives related to fall prevention, restorative nursing, rehospitalization reduction, and quality improvement programs.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy program.
- Current state licensure in one of the rehabilitation disciplines (PT, OT, SLP).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute rehabilitation.
- Previous leadership or management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of PDPM, Medicare Part A and B, managed care, and reimbursement guidelines.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage productivity, and drive financial performance.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
