Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee complex infrastructure and commercial construction projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent project management software, coordinating timelines across multiple teams and subcontractors.
- Oversee construction site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Manage project budgets by monitoring costs using HeavyBid or similar estimating tools; implement cost control measures to stay within financial targets.
- Review and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and contracts to ensure accurate execution of project specifications.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth communication and resolve issues promptly.
- Supervise project teams on-site and manage subcontractor performance; foster a collaborative environment focused on safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore or Construction management software to track progress, document changes, and generate reports.
- Ensure construction regulatory compliance by understanding local codes and regulations; maintain proper documentation for inspections and permits.
- Lead project meetings to review progress, address challenges, and update stakeholders on project status; prioritize tasks effectively for timely delivery.
Experience
- Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or commercial construction projects with a focus on civil or heavy civil works.
- Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling techniques using Primavera P6 or similar tools; ability to develop detailed project timelines.
- Strong background in construction estimating, cost management, and budget control using HeavyBid or comparable software.
- Demonstrated ability managing teams in a construction management role; excellent leadership skills with a focus on team development.
- Deep understanding of construction regulations, safety standards, blueprint reading (schematics), and contract management.
- Hands-on experience working on active construction sites with a solid grasp of construction plans and technical schematics like Civil 3D or Schematics.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies including Microsoft Office suite for documentation and communication purposes.
- Prior success managing complex infrastructure projects involving multiple stakeholders while maintaining strict schedule coordination.
