Dental Assistant 2 – Public Health
Location: Carroll / Huntingdon, TN
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
We are seeking a Dental Assistant 2 to provide patient-centered dental support services in a public health setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dentists using four-handed dental techniques.
- Prepare instruments, supplies, treatment rooms, and patient records.
- Perform dental X-rays and maintain infection-control standards.
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Maintain autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and dental unit water lines.
- Maintain electronic and paper dental records.
- Provide patients with post-treatment instructions and education.
- Monitor supplies and support daily clinic productivity goals.
- Promote a positive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- Current Tennessee Dental Assistant registration with Dental Radiology Certification.
- Current driver's license.
- CPR certification.
- Ability to pass a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) background check.
Preferred: Coronal polishing, nitrous oxide monitoring, and dental sealant certifications.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
