Duties
- Lead hands-on craft and arts workshops, including visual arts, performing arts, dance, theater, sewing, photography, culinary arts, and more
- Develop engaging curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, ensuring clear lesson plans and objectives
- Manage classroom environments by maintaining organization, encouraging positive behavior, and ensuring safety during activities
- Support students in developing technical skills such as choreography, dance instruction, musical instrument performance, sewing, or culinary techniques
- Assist with event planning for exhibitions, performances, or showcases that highlight student work and progress
- Collaborate with team members to create inclusive programs that accommodate children with special needs or early childhood education requirements
- Maintain studio supplies and equipment; ensure cleanliness and safety standards are upheld at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children or youth programs in educational or recreational settings
- Strong background in teaching visual & performing arts such as dance (ballet), theater, music (instrumental performance), photography, sewing, or culinary arts
- Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to diverse learners
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment
- Familiarity with childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
- Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages—including preschoolers—and adapt activities accordingly
- Experience in specialized areas such as choreography, dance instruction, special education, or early childhood education is highly valued
- Passion for creative arts instruction combined with strong organizational skills
