Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Plumbing Foreman to lead and oversee plumbing projects within commercial construction environments. This role is vital in ensuring that plumbing systems are installed, maintained, and repaired efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. As a Foreman, you will coordinate teams, manage on-site operations, and ensure projects adhere to blueprints, schematics, and safety regulations. Your leadership will drive project success from start to finish, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of plumbing crews on commercial construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing systems, HVAC integration, and mechanical layouts.
- Oversee installation of piping systems using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques where necessary.
- Ensure proper use of construction tools and equipment such as pipe cutters, wrenches, drills, and other hand-held or power tools.
- Manage material inventory on-site, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and other plumbing supplies; coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections to maintain compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for plumbing issues during construction or maintenance phases; perform repairs or modifications as needed.
- Mentor team members in technical skills like welding, carpentry related to remodeling or framing tasks, and basic math calculations for measurements and material estimates.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work progress, safety incidents, inspections, and project reports for accountability and quality assurance.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial construction plumbing with a strong understanding of plumbing systems installation and maintenance.
- Hands-on knowledge of construction site safety practices and OSHA regulations.
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, HVAC plans, and mechanical diagrams relevant to commercial projects.
- Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, pipe threading machines, and other construction machinery effectively.
- Experience with field service work including troubleshooting plumbing issues on-site during various project phases.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing multiple tasks on busy construction sites; basic math skills for measurements and calculations are essential.
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
