Under guidance from the Director of Procedural and Specialty Services or designee, the Nurse Manager organizes and directs the work of surgical services nursing departments. Ensures delivery of safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care while maintaining quality standards. Provides operational leadership for the Surgical Services service line with emphasis on business performance, strategic planning, service line growth, resource optimization, and alignment with organizational goals. Promotes an environment that supports staff engagement, accountability, interdisciplinary collaboration, provider engagement, and optimal patient outcomes
Education/Certification:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
Current, unencumbered North Carolina or compact state RN license
BLS upon hire. NCI and NIH Certification within 90 days. ACLS within 6 months
Experience:
3-5 years of clinical experience in relevant nursing units with past management experience preferred
