Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated RV/trailer technician to join our team. The ideal candidate MUST have a strong background in RV/trailer axles and maintenance, with specific experience in servicing recreational vehicle or utility, cargo, dump trailer axles. This role requires a combination of mechanical knowledge, electrical expertise, and excellent customer service skills to ensure that our customers receive the highest quality of service.
Duties:
- Service/repair/replace axles and hardware on installed axles on RVs and Trailers which is all parts of the axle: brake drums, brakes, leaf springs/suspension components, wiring, bearings, nuts, lug nuts, etc.
- Must have RV/trailer axle and axle electrical experience
- Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues with axles on RVs or utility trailers etc.
- Report and communicate with onsite customer personnel regarding issues found on RV/trailer when attending service calls and inform customer personnel of repairs being performed while providing exceptional customer service.
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Perform monthly audit at customer's locations.
- Work outdoors at any time of the year.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly and equipment repair tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area/tools in good condition while adhering to safety protocols. Storing away tools carefully and safely.
- Collaborate and communicate with team members and manager.
- Travel out of state to perform service calls when required.
- Must be able to work in the warehouse with axles, preparing orders if there are no service calls/customer shut down.
Qualifications:
- High school Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous axle service technician experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of axle installation and repair, electrical axle brake systems, and RVs
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and filling out forms/reports on digital devices
- Experience with various RV/trailer components such as axles, brakes/wiring, suspensions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and provide updates to customer.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Reliable, responsible, respectful and punctual
- Capable of managing schedules for service calls/notes/completed work orders.
- Valid U.S. Drivers License
- Must have a vehicle to drive to our customer's locations (mileage reimbursement)

Pay range: $23-$25 per hour (based on experience)
