CDL Class A Driver – Local Routes – $28–$30/hr
Spin Freight Services is a long‑standing transportation company in the Kansas City region that is seeking a skilled CDL Class A Driver for consistent local work. Position Summary
This role supports local city deliveries throughout the Greater Kansas City Metro. Drivers can expect predictable schedules, a supportive operations team, and well‑maintained equipment. Full‑time and part‑time opportunities are available.
Pay: $28–$30/hr based on experience, plus bonus opportunities
Hours: 40–50 per week
Schedule: Flexible start time of 7 AM–9:30 AM, Monday–Friday, with occasional evening/weekend shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a tandem‑axle day cab with a 53' trailer for local deliveries
- Occasionally operate a 26' box truck and lift gate
- Load and unload freight using proper equipment (this is not a no‑touch position)
- Verify cargo condition, secure loads, and collect required signatures
- Follow DOT, FMCSA, TSA, and all safety procedures
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
- Safely lift up to 70 lbs and operate a forklift or pallet jack
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed
Candidate Requirements
- 2 years CDL Class A experience, including 1 year operating a 53' trailer in city environments
- Strong knowledge of the Kansas City area
- Valid CDL A and clean driving record
- Ability to deliver to schools and military bases
- Ability to pass TSA screening, background check, and drug test
- Strong communication skills and a safety‑focused mindset
- Personal smartphone with GPS and headset
- No DUI convictions within the last 7 years
- Current DOT medical card and clean MVR
