Barista Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced FULL TIME Barista. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and hospitality, with proven experience working with espresso machines, crafting drinks, being part of fast paced team, as well as ensuring exceptional customer experiences. As a Barista for The Literary you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of drink quality, customer service, and cleanliness while fostering a positive work environment with your team.
Duties
- Adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining food and drink quality standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café & Bar environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Creation of house-made syrups as well as preparation of said drinks.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of menu items while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience (2 years) in a Barista, Cafe, or Bar setting.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage service.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with cooking in regards to preparation of quick syrups, cold foams, and garnishes for drink.
- A background in Barista, Cafe, or Bar setting is mandatory.
- Must be available Tuesday - Sunday, 7am-10pm. 40hrs Per week.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.46 - $20.30 per hour
