Job Description:
Shifts to be determined
The Shuttle Driver is responsible for safe and efficient movement of trailers in the yard. May also be required to operate a forklift to move products or shipments.
- Safely backs various size trailers into assigned dock/yard spaces, engages dock locks, and/or chocks, and deploys trailer stands for all trailers spotted to the dock.
- Parks and organizes trailers within the warehouse yard.
- Mounting and dismounting yard tractor frequently. Sliding trailer tandems alone.
- Performing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on yard tractor; filling out DVIR.
- Utilizing YMS or applicable tools to make inbound and outbound trailer movements.
- Coordinates with office clerk on trailer movements and prioritizes to ensure no down time for warehouse associates.
- Travels on public highway to obtain fuel or to take to maintenance facility
- May need to haul to trailer, drop yard, or overflow warehouse
- Completes all documents required by management.
- Reports any unsafe conditions, injury, or damage to management.
- Miscellaneous tasks assigned by management.
Compensation
- $29.00 Day shift / $31.00 night shift
- Paid every week via direct deposit.

Job Requirements:
- Operates tractor/trailer or straight truck equipment in accordance with all DOT regulations to transport product safely and legally from the Distribution Centers to the Vendor’s destination.
- Operates the tractor/trailer to ensure that the product is delivered in a timely manner.
- Understands the utilization of secure devices and straps, and monitors freight for secure devices and straps to ensure products are delivered to their final destination undamaged and in their original condition.
- Required to follow company policy, participate in required trainings and keep truck clean.
- Maintains driver’s daily logs, trip reports and other documents as required.
- Responsible for performing a full pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor-trailer.

Immediately reports all instances of damaged product to the Transportation Supervisor/Manager
- Communicates any delivery issues up line to the Transportation Supervisor/Manager
- Keeps equipment fueled, tidy, and in compliance with inspection requirements.
- Accountable for all assigned tools and equipment.
- Maintain professional conduct and attitude towards other motorists who share the highway.
- Conform to all DOT and OSHA regulations and state laws.
- Perform any other reasonable request as directed by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of tractor trailer Class A driving experience
- Class A CDL required
- Meets FMCSA and company requirements
- Pass Background and Drug Screening.
- Clean driving record
Wage Range: 29.00 - 29.00 per hour
