FLATBED DRIVER OVERWIDTH/OVERLENGTH (Channelview)
Job Description
Hiring LOCAL flatbed drivers for legal and overlength (stretch) loads. Pipe hauling experience a plus. Must have 2 years min driving experience with good record.
Essential Job Functions
- Be able to safely operate and navigate Class 8 tractor hauling steel pipe and piling products
- Participate in general labor duties related to delivery of steel piling products
- Perform other related work as necessary
Qualifications
- 2+ years of flatbed experience hauling pipe strongly preferred
- Heavy haul or oversize load experience preferred – we will train interested candidates
- Willing and able work in an outdoor construction work environment with potential exposure to dust, noise, waste and inclement weather conditions
- Ability to work more than 50 hours per week
Physical Requirements
- Must be willing to take a pre-employment physical and DOT drug screen
- Walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling and wearing personal protective equipment.
- Working conditions include frequently working outside with occasional exposure to extreme heat and/or cold
- Able to operate equipment for long periods of time
