It manufactures new differentials in its production facility, services and repairs differentials in its shop, and distributes parts from a 100,000-square-foot facility.
With more than 5,000 SKUs in stock and approximately 4,000 differentials repaired or manufactured each year, East Coast Gear Supply is a rapidly growing company seeking a new addition to its sales team to help drive continued growth.
Position Summary
East Coast Gear Supply is looking to increase the number of salespeople on its team to support business growth. Salespeople are part of a high-performing team with a broad base of industry knowledge and professional backgrounds.
The company prides itself on being among the most knowledgeable in the industry and uses that expertise to drive sales in current and new growth markets. Sales experience and a clear understanding of the industry are desired.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and close new customers or channels through a consultative selling approach, including qualifying, listening, identifying needs, overcoming objections, asking for the sale, and follow-up.
- Build a book of business by driving growth and adding value within each account.
- Serve as an expert in recommending products or suitable alternatives.
- Present price, credit, and terms in accordance with standard procedures.
- Set up customer profiles and implement and follow through on action plans.
- Accurately process customer sales transactions, including quotes, sales orders, and returns.
- Stay current with promotions and new product launches.
- Identify trends in customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction.
- Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items and expected delivery dates.
Education and Experience
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 2–5 years of sales and/or automotive experience, with a preference for candidates with a background in differential mechanics.
Knowledge and Personal Attributes

- Demonstrated record of achievement in a prior sales-related position.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
