Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Air Duct Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial air duct systems to ensure optimal indoor air quality and HVAC performance. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize air ducts, dryer vents, and HVAC components using specialized equipment.
- Inspect ductwork for leaks, damage, or obstructions and recommend repairs or replacements as needed.
- Perform minor duct repairs, sealing, or installations to improve airflow and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including equipment used and time on site.
- Follow all safety protocols and industry standards during cleaning and maintenance.
- Communicate with clients to explain findings, recommend services, and provide maintenance tips.
- Assist with routine maintenance of HVAC systems when required.
Skills
- Strong understanding of HVAC airflow and ductwork systems.
- Proficiency with cleaning tools, negative air machines, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to identify issues such as mold, dust buildup, and leaks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills for explaining services and recommendations to clients.
- Relevant HVAC or air duct cleaning certifications/licensing preferred but not required.
