Mission Contribution:
Ensures that individuals and families receive those services from Goodwill, strategic partners, and other community resources consistent with the mission, identified outcomes, the team member’s plan, and which move the team member toward self-sufficiency.
Function:
Under the direct leadership and supervision of the Director of Mission Services, is responsible for a variety of roles to provide individual team members, and when warranted their families, comprehensive, “single point of contact” support as a part of a seamless service delivery design. Services to the team members include life and work coaching, personal and career counseling, coordination, and advocacy with organizational and community resources, and providing case management with a goal of achieving self-sufficiency.
Specific Duties:

Ensures and provides open and honest communication that encourages that all team members do not place themselves, donors, or customers in harm’s way.

Understands, represents, and supports Goodwill’s zero tolerance for harassment, substance abuse, workplace violence, failure to report, medical incidents (work or non-work related), and theft or other related offenses.

Provides the team member with the opportunity to explore life options, by establishing a relationship which is customer centered, holds the team member in unconditional positive regard, and encourages bigger thinking by maintaining a posture of curiosity and the use of powerful questioning.

Provides services with an outcome focus as identified by the team member, which may include but are not limited to career development and preparation, employment, job retention, career advancement, and strengthened family relationships and functioning.

Provides a coaching atmosphere by asking pertinent questions and providing reflective and direct communication where the team member has the opportunity to gain clarity and experience increased awareness and ability to self-identify strengths, barriers to self-sufficiency, and goals in life and work areas, resulting in establishing his/her Individual Development Plan (IDP).

Assists the team member in developing an action plan which is customer driven and identifies goals, resources, action steps, individuals responsible, and target dates pertaining to achieving individual and/or self-continuous improvement.

Provides ongoing collaboration with team members individually to ensure progress pertaining to the action plan and holding them accountable to their self-identified goals.

Provides referrals for specialized career and life circumstance counseling and interpersonal guidance when indicated.

Assist team members with personal budgeting and referrals for financial resources.

Assist training team in providing training to Goodwill team members when applicable.

Conducts needs assessment to ensure that team members are linked with appropriate available resources and supports necessary to address and resolve barriers to self-sufficiency internally, with community agencies, strategic partners, and community resources within the capacity of resource broker.

Advocates for timely and effective delivery of resources and support.

Provides ongoing assessment and monitoring to team member progress pertaining to the action plan and attainment of self-sufficiency.

Maintains regular and ongoing contact with the team member, internal service providers, community agencies, and strategic partners for which the team member is receiving services to ensure “single point of contact” case management and seamless service delivery.

Identifies gaps in resources, services, and supports necessary to assist team members in achieving self-sufficiency and forwards these gaps to the Director of Mission Services in order for them to be addressed.

Ensure a strict level of confidentiality regarding team members, and all participant data by adhering to all current Federal and State laws and regulations, standard codes of conduct, and HIPPA regulations as applicable.

Serve as liaison for other Goodwill teams including Operations, HR, Contracts, Marketing or any other department.

Maintains documentation of all coaching, training, counseling, referral and case management activities via timely, thorough, and accurate case notes and data entry into the appropriate record keeping systems.

Attends team meetings, in-service training, seminars, regular and ad hoc team meetings as assigned.

Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Proficient in the basic and personal facilitating process while possessing strong interpersonal skills.

Experience with business systems, technology, procedures.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel spreadsheets.
-
Emotional intelligence: high levels of self-awareness, maturity and self-control.

Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills including interacting with senior leaders.
-
Excellent communication, decision making and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to analyze complex situations and make recommendations.

Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality regarding employee information.

Knowledge of the characteristics, needs, and cultural, educational, socioeconomic and linguistic diversity associated with team members served within service delivery area.

Knowledge of community resources including faith, social, fraternal, educational, business, and governmental entities within the assigned service delivery area.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a team within the context of team-based organization.

Knowledge of and skill in life coaching, career and personal counseling, budgeting, negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving strategies, techniques, and best practices.

Knowledge and skill in computer applications including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other applications as needed to complete own workload as well as training others.

Possess an attitude of personal and professional continuous improvement.
Training & Experience:
-
Bachelor's degree in related field, and/or professional certification preferred.
-
Coaching Certification from an accredited program, or five years of related experience preferably within a community-based setting performing community organization, community resource coordination, resource brokering, career and personal counseling and courses in Theories in Counseling, Human Development, and/or Ethical Practices in Counseling.

Bi-lingual in Spanish and/or English a plus.

Two plus years of Case Management experience preferred.
Special Requirements:

Must be able to work occasional after-hours and weekends. This position will require travel to multiple locations on a daily basis

This position is safety-sensitive and is subject to random drug screening.

This role may require access to facility keys and alarm systems.
-
Must possess a valid driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a privately owned reliable means of transportation to travel throughout Goodwill territory to visit stores and locations as necessary.
