Scott's Custom Jewelers , a family owned jewelry store that specializes in custom design and repair, is looking for a Jewelry Store Coordinator to be the heartbeat of our day-to-day operation.
This isn't a typical, commission-based jewelry retail job.
First off - the hours are great! No nights, work week is Tuesday thru Saturday (closed on Sundays and Mondays). We are team based at Scott's! You'll be the first voice clients hear, the last set of eyes on every finished piece, and the organized force that keeps our shop running smoothly behind the scenes. Job Description
This role covers three interconnected areas:
Client Services
- Answer incoming calls and emails and make follow-up contact on repairs and custom orders
- Evaluate repair requests at the counter and provide accurate pricing estimates
- Vet and schedule custom design consultations with our CAD team
- Process client pickups and ensure every piece is presented beautifully
- Clearly explain our design and repair process to new and prospective clients
Store Merchandising Operations
- Set up and close display cases daily; maintain a clean, organized showroom
- Track and reorder supplies and inventory before stock runs low
- Manage all shipping and receiving of merchandise, parts, and customer pieces
- Handle filing, purchase orders, and general office organization
Custom Job Tracking & Quality Control
- Photograph before and after pictures for every repair or custom job
- Manage our Trello job board, keeping every in-house project tracked and up to date
- Perform quality control on completed work before any piece is returned to a client
- Enter completed jobs in our POS system and generate accurate client invoices
- Write jewelry appraisals for completed custom pieces
- Monitor the daily repair inbox and flag anything time-sensitive
What we're looking for
- Warm, professional, and confident with clients - in person and on the phone
- Highly organized with strong follow-through
- Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and shifting priorities throughout the day
- Detail-oriented
- A quick learner who embraces new tools and systems
- Genuinely interested in fine jewelry, craftsmanship, or working in a specialty retail environment
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years in retail, customer service, or a client-facing role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with technology: POS systems, email, and project management tools (Trello or similar)
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct
Preferred — but we will train the right person
- Experience in jewelry retail or a luxury or specialty goods environment
- Familiarity with jewelry terminology, metals, or gemstones
- Experience writing appraisals and shipping high-value insured items
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time, Tuesday–Saturday (store hours). No nights

Scott's Custom Jewelers is a fourth generation custom jewelry store that specializes in jewelry restyling and custom jewelry using high tech processes like Computer Aided Design (CAD), and 3D printers, then manufacturing each piece on site in our Dublin, OH store.
