Overview
Join our dynamic retail team as a Retail Sales Associate and become the friendly face that helps customers find the perfect products for their outdoor spaces and home needs! In this energetic role, you’ll provide exceptional customer service, assist with product selection, and ensure the store is inviting and well-organized. NOTE: This position is for both our Holland & Saugatuck location, so you could be scheduled at either location.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and actively engage to understand their needs related to lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, floral design, and outdoor projects
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions involving cash handling, credit card processing, and retail math calculations
- Stock shelves efficiently by organizing merchandise, replenishing inventory, and ensuring attractive displays through merchandising and stocking practices
- Communicate effectively via phone or in-person to answer customer questions and provide information about products or services
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a nice-to-have for serving diverse communities
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures ensures smooth transactions
- Organizational skills for stocking shelves and maintaining store cleanliness are essential
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends; a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn are highly valued
- Ability to stand for 8 hours and use of ladders
- Ability to follow dress code and present ones self in a professional way
Pay: $14.50 per hour
