Step into a rewarding contract opportunity shaping students’ communication skills throughout the 2026–2027 school year. A dedicated speech-language pathologist is needed onsite to serve elementary, middle, and high school populations. You’ll play a pivotal role supporting students with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs, collaborating closely with educators and families. This full-time assignment runs Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, spanning from August 13, 2025, through May 27, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active North Carolina SLP license required (out-of-state applicants considered if eligible for NC licensure by June or July)
- SLP-CCC credential
- Previous experience in a K–12 school setting supporting diverse student caseloads
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and care documentation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Capable of providing in-person services only (no teletherapy/voco arrangements will be accommodated)
- Openness to travel for contract placement
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students, adapting interventions to the learning environment
- Manage assessment and re-evaluation procedures and craft individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, faculty, and family members
- Maintain compliance with IDEA, state guidelines, and school standards
- Provide consultative support and progress updates as needed
