Quick Summary:
This position oversees daily operations in the lumber yard, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and distribution of lumber and building materials. Responsibilities include supervising yard staff, managing inventory, coordinating deliveries, serving the drive-thru customers fast & efficiently, maintaining equipment, and enforcing safety standards.
Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
Further Details:
Supervision: Lead and coordinate the activities of yard personnel, including training and performance management.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular cycle counts. Ensure proper loading, unloading, stacking, and storage of lumber and related products.
Customer Service: Insure fast & accurate loading of drive-thru customers & also deliveries are accurate & on time.
Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing loads for quality and accuracy, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely. Ensure all staff are trained and certified in equipment operation.
