Job Summary:
W.A. Petrakis Contracting is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer with a minimum of 3 years of construction experience. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery and will be responsible for ensuring efficient and safe operations on construction sites. Additionally, the laborer will also be an operator on the gas line installation crew .
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment including excavator, skid loaders, and wheel loaders
- General construction laborer duties
- Proficient in grading stone and dirt
- Installing new catch basins
- Storm System Repairs
- Familiarity with ditch protection and ditch safety
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience with heavy equipment operation
- Experience as construction laborer
- Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Pass pre-employment Drug Screening
Preferred:
- CDL
- Experience with concrete
- OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
