Duties
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient visits using electronic health records (EHR) systems and schedule management tools
- Handle incoming phone calls promptly, professionally, and courteously, providing excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Enter and update patient information accurately in electronic health records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
- Assist with insurance third-party billing processes, verifying coverage details and submitting claims efficiently
- Maintain clear internal communication with healthcare teams to facilitate seamless care delivery and documentation updates
- Support revenue cycle management by processing payments, tracking claims status, and following up on outstanding balances
- Prepare detailed reports, correspondence, and documentation related to client interactions, billing, and office operations
Requirements
- Proven administrative experience within healthcare settings or medical offices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong knowledge of health insurance processes, including managed care and third-party billing procedures
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems and medical terminology
- Excellent typing skills with high accuracy for data entry tasks
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and written correspondence
- Ability to manage schedules efficiently while prioritizing urgent tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of revenue cycle management principles to support billing and reimbursement processes
