About us
Bay State Transportation Co. Inc (BST) has moved passengers across Massachusetts since 2007. We run school, senior, event, and ADA-accessible routes in minivans and passenger vans, and we service our fleet in our own shop in Lynn.
Who we are hiring
- 7D-certified drivers for school routes. If you hold a current Massachusetts 7D certificate, school routes are open to you now, and we would like to hear from you first.
- Drivers with a regular Massachusetts license for our MART and DDS routes. No 7D certificate needed for these.
- Monitors, who ride along to help passengers board, stay belted, and reach the door safely. Monitors do not drive and need no license.
The work
- Fixed daily routes across the North Shore, Monday through Friday.
- Split shifts: a morning run and an afternoon run, with the middle of the day free.
- Local routes only. No long-haul driving, no nights away from home.
What you need
- Valid Massachusetts driver license (drivers). For school routes, a current Massachusetts 7D certificate on top of that license.
- Clean driving record (drivers)
- Basic English
- Background check and Massachusetts CORI check before assignment
- Alcohol and drug testing at hire and periodically after
- Completion of the training we provide
Helpful, but not required
- Previous passenger transport experience
- Experience working with students or seniors
- A second language
