Greater Meridian Health Clinic, Inc. seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Monitor patients’ conditions closely, utilizing telemetry and other monitoring equipment to detect changes requiring immediate intervention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with best practices in acute care, geriatrics, pediatrics, or specialty areas such as cardiology or ophthalmology.
- Perform specialized procedures including suturing, catheterization, IV infusion, tube feeding management, and wound care while maintaining sterile technique.
- Educate patients and their families on health management strategies, discharge instructions, and preventive care measures tailored to specific needs such as memory care or hospice support.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with hospital policies and legal standards; ensure confidentiality of patient records per HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license (RN) in the relevant state or jurisdiction with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU or trauma centers; experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is preferred.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for documentation and order entry.
- Strong clinical skills across multiple specialties including critical care, infectious disease care, behavioral health, or long-term care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Excellent communication skills combined with critical thinking abilities; capable of triage assessment and managing acute pain situations effectively.
