Houseman/Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of hotel public areas, back-of-house spaces, and facilities. The janitor ensures guests and employees enjoy a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Clean and sanitize hotel lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other public areas.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces.

Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.

Replenish restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.

Dust furniture, fixtures, windows, and other surfaces.

Clean glass doors, mirrors, and windows.

Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and repair needs to management.

Assist with deep-cleaning projects as needed.
