SENIOR DIRECTOR, SUPPLY CHAIN AND LOGISTICS Global Distribution and Operations Environment
SUMMARY The Senior Director of Supply Chain and Logistics is responsible for leading all global purchasing, procurement, supply chain, and logistics operations across a multi site distribution network. This role owns demand planning, forecasting, supply planning, and inventory strategy to ensure optimal service levels, margin performance, and working capital efficiency. The ideal candidate is a forward thinking operations leader with deep expertise in global supply chain strategy, financial management, and data driven decision making. This position reports to the VP of Finance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Supply Chain Strategy - Lead strategic planning and execution of global supply chain, purchasing, procurement, and logistics activities across the distribution network.

Demand and Supply Planning - Own global demand planning, forecasting, supply planning, and inventory targets in partnership with Sales and Operations.

Financial Leadership - Provide financial leadership for supply chain operations including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, cost impact analysis, capital planning, and long range financial strategy.

SKU Portfolio Management - Develop and implement SKU portfolio management processes to optimize inventory performance and operational efficiency.

Purchasing and Supplier Management - Oversee purchasing strategy, supplier relationships, contract negotiations, supplier performance, risk management, and disruption response.

Digital Supply Chain Tools - Implement digital supply chain tools, systems, and processes to improve data visibility, decision making, and responsiveness to material demand.

Regulatory Compliance - Ensure compliance with environmental, customs, trade, and regulatory requirements across all purchasing, logistics, procurement, and supply chain activities.

Ethical Sourcing - Establish and enforce ethical sourcing and procurement policies including fair labor, human rights, and environmental sustainability expectations.

Cross Functional Collaboration - Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Operations to align supply chain capabilities with product strategy and market demand.

Team Leadership - Build and lead a high performing global team through clear goals, accountability, coaching, and talent development.

Customs and Trade Compliance - Own customs and trade compliance including HTS classification, duty management, customs bonds, and bonded warehouse operations.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS

Strong understanding of product development and engineering processes with the ability to collaborate with technical teams throughout design, sourcing, supplier selection, and launch execution.

Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and tools.

Expertise in global supply chain strategy, sourcing, logistics, and inventory optimization in a multi site or global environment.

Understanding of logistical requirements for supplying multi site operations.

Ability to negotiate global vendor contracts.

Strong decision making capabilities.

Executive level communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and stakeholders.

Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience with ERP and MRP systems required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree required; Masters degree (MBA or related) preferred.

10 or more years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics including senior leadership roles in manufacturing or distribution.

Experience leading global teams and managing international supply chain operations.

Experience with NetSuite preferred.

Experience with Netstock preferred.

Experience with Amazon Seller Central preferred.
