Certificate of Completion from a formal Industrial Electrical Program or Associates degree in Industrial Electrical related program, or Texas State Electrical Journeyman’s License, or Power Plant Electrical Journeyman experience.
Experience with hand tools and electrical measurement test instruments; good electrical and mechanical ability
Ability to perform and demonstrate basic mathematics, measurements, and the use of electrical test measurement instruments and meters.
Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written instructions
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work safely at heights, in confined spaces, around electrical facilities, in extreme temperature ranges, and in adverse temperature conditions
Ability to work at various locations, perform shift work, call duty, and overtime as required
Demonstrate ability to distinguish colors in order to identify electronic components and wiring codes
Ability to perform physically strenuous activity over sustained periods of time
Ability to work in an environment that includes high noise levels and exposure to extreme environmental conditions such as heat, cold, smoke, dust, fumes, heights, etc.
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds and work at high elevations (up to and over 200 feet) on scaffolding, cable climbers and personnel-lifting equipment
Ability to pass a functional physical exam, which includes but is not limited to demonstrating the ability to lift/move/transport heavy objects
Ability to drive various sizes of company CDL and non-CDL vehicles
Possess a valid driver’s license with a history of a safe driving record in accordance with CPSE policies, procedures, safety standards, and applicable laws and regulations

Must pass Mechanical, Reading and Math Aptitude test to be considered for an interview
