Job Summary
Staff Accountant with Real Estate Tax Exp. This position will support the accounting department and collaborate with various teams throughout the organization. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis, fixed-asset accounting, Common Area Maintenance (CAM) processing, and accounts payable activities related to real estate taxes and utilities. The position will also assist with a variety of general accounting functions. Key responsibilities include: Prepare financial reports and supporting analyses. Assist with CAM budgeting, estimates, and reconciliations. Perform bank reconciliations and maintain fixed-asset records. Process real estate tax payments, escrow analyses, and tax adjustments. Handle use-tax reporting and accounts payable processing for utilities. Assist with audit preparation and participate in the audit process. Perform additional general accounting responsibilities as required. Collaborate with colleagues, vendors, and other departments to resolve accounting-related matters. Qualifications: Relevant accounting experience, preferably within commercial real estate, property management, or a related industry. Strong numerical aptitude with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally and tactfully with colleagues, vendors, and other business partners. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse professional backgrounds. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Compensation and schedule: Base salary range: $79,000–$89,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and relevant market data. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch. Full-time, exempt position.
