About the Role
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will serve as a technical lead in optimizing surface engineering operations, specifically focusing on thin film and vacuum coating technologies. You will bridge the gap between R&D innovation and high-volume production, ensuring our processes remain at the cutting edge of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities-
Lead the development and optimization of PVD and PACVD coating processes to maximize throughput and yield.

Utilize statistical analysis and root cause methodologies to resolve complex production challenges and improve process capability.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives by applying Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kanban, and Value Stream Mapping.

Manage the implementation of equipment upgrades and process modifications to enhance operational performance.

Maintain and audit Quality Management Systems, ensuring full compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.

Mentor production staff on technical procedures, work instructions, and best practices for surface engineering.

Collaborate with management to scale up new application programs and integrate them into the production environment.
Qualifications-
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or Plasma Physics.

3+ years of professional experience in vacuum coating or thin film technology.

Hands-on expertise with PVD/PACVD coating systems and equipment.

Strong proficiency in quality tools including PFMEA, APQP, 8D, and Root Cause Analysis.

Experience with mechanical design software such as AutoCAD.

Proven track record in Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies.

Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards and ITAR compliance.

Experience managing technical projects within a manufacturing environment.

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across international teams.
