Table 1888 is a new chapter in one of Harrisonburg’s most iconic dining spaces. Located within the historic Joshua Wilton House, we are building a restaurant that blends warm hospitality, thoughtful service, and elevated food and beverage experiences. Our cuisine draws inspiration from French traditions while remaining approachable, seasonal, and rooted in the Shenandoah Valley.

Position Summary
We are seeking professional, hospitality-driven Servers who are passionate about creating memorable dining experiences. Our ideal candidate understands that service is more than taking orders—it is anticipating needs, guiding guests through the menu, and helping create an atmosphere that feels welcoming, polished, and personal.
Servers at Table 1888 are expected to be knowledgeable about food, wine, cocktails, and service standards while maintaining a warm and approachable style.
What You’ll Do
- Provide attentive, polished, and genuine hospitality to every guest
- Guide guests through menus, wine selections, cocktails, and specials
- Maintain detailed knowledge of food ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage offerings
- Deliver seamless service throughout the dining experience
- Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure exceptional execution
- Assist with opening, closing, and side work responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations
- Handle guest concerns professionally and confidently
- Support teammates and contribute to a positive culture
Required
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Team-oriented mindset
Preferred
- Previous restaurant serving experience
- Wine, cocktail, or fine dining knowledge
- Experience with elevated dining environments
