Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Facilitator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and be skilled in managing group dynamics within therapeutic settings. This role is essential for providing support and guidance to individuals facing various challenges, including eating disorders, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and OCD. The Group Facilitator will create a safe and engaging environment that encourages open communication and personal growth among participants.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate group therapy sessions, ensuring a supportive atmosphere for all participants.
- Can follow group curriculums and create structured programs tailored to the group's needs, focusing on areas of the client's needs.
- Monitor group interactions to promote positive engagement and address any conflicts or issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of group attendance, participant progress, and session outcomes for clinical research purposes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for program participants, particularly those on the client's treatment team.
- Provide individual support as needed, addressing specific concerns related to mental health and well-being.
Skills
- Strong background in patient care with experience in clinical environments.
- Knowledge of clinical research methodologies relevant to mental health treatment.
- Experience working with clients with mental health challenges of all ages.
- Proficient in behavior management techniques to effectively guide group dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on empathy and active listening.
- Experience with providing CBT, DBT and other evidenced-based therapies
