Imagination Station Early Learning Centers is seeking a dependable, safety-focused, and professional School Driver to safely transport children to and from school, Home, educational activities, and approved field trips. This role is essential in ensuring every child arrives safely while providing a positive, caring, and reliable transportation experience for our families.

Position Summary
The School Driver is responsible for the safe operation of company vehicles while transporting children according to established routes and schedules. Drivers are expected to maintain compliance with all federal, state, and company transportation policies while providing exceptional customer service to families and supporting the daily operations of the center.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport children to and from local elementary schools, Imagination Station locations, and approved field trips.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections before and after each route.
- Complete all required transportation logs, vehicle inspection reports, mileage records, and documentation accurately.
- Ensure all children are properly accounted for using attendance and transportation rosters before departure and upon arrival.
- Assist children safely entering and exiting the vehicle.
- Maintain constant supervision of children during loading, unloading, and transportation.
- Follow all traffic laws, company transportation procedures, and Nevada Child Care Licensing requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained company vehicle.
- Immediately report accidents, vehicle concerns, maintenance needs, injuries, or emergencies to management.
- Communicate professionally with families, school personnel, and center leadership.
- Support center operations during non-driving hours with light facility or classroom assistance as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and company information.
- Travel between center locations as operational needs require.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Valid Nevada Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Minimum of three years of licensed driving experience.
- Previous experience transporting children or operating passenger vans is preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
Required Certifications & Requirements
- Current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Current 10-Year Nevada Driving Record with an acceptable driving history.
- Current negative Tuberculosis (TB) test.
- Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Successful completion of all required state and federal background checks.
- Ability to meet all company and Nevada Child Care Licensing transportation requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist children entering and exiting the vehicle safely.
- Ability to bend, reach, walk, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to perform emergency evacuation procedures when necessary.
- Ability to operate passenger vehicles safely in various weather and traffic conditions.
Schedule
- Full-Time or Part-Time
- Monday through Friday
- Split shifts may be required to accommodate morning and afternoon school routes.
- Occasional evenings or weekends for special events or field trips.
