Position Summary
Lincoln Electric Products Co., Inc. is seeking a Switchgear, Panel board and an EV Mechanical Assembler I — who is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining the mechanical components of panel boards and EV systems. The Mechanical Assembler I job will involve a combination of electrical disconnect switches, fuses, or circuit breakers used to control, protect, and isolate electrical equipment.
It is a full-time, non-exempt position, and the candidate will report directly to the Team Lead and Operations Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
- Assembling Switchgear, Panel Boards and EV: The primary responsibility of a Mechanical Assembler—mechanical is to assemble mechanical components of switchgear, panel boards and EV systems based on engineering specifications and electrical drawings. This includes assembling circuit breakers, disconnect switches, control panels, bus bars, and other mechanical parts.
- Installation and Mounting: Mechanical Assembler is responsible for properly installing and mounting switchgear, panel boards and EV components in electrical panels. They ensure that all mechanical parts are securely attached and aligned according to the specified guidelines.
- Safety and Compliance: The Mechanical Assembler adheres to safety procedures and regulations while working with electrical components. They follow safety guidelines, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized work area to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
- Documentation: The Mechanical Assembler— adheres to the Standard Work Instructions provided by the company to perform the job safely and effectively, including assembly procedures and QC Processes.
- Collaboration: Mechanical Assembler often collaborate with electrical engineers, technicians, and other team members to ensure smooth assembly and installation processes.
Skills, Requirements, and Specifications
- Some 1-2 years’ experience in assembling custom products and the ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints.
- Proficiency in using handheld power tools.
- Basic computer skills for operational tasks.
- Competence in using a tape measure and verifying parts against blueprints.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work in a loud environment (hearing protection provided and required).
- Must be able to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Capable of lifting 70+ lbs safely and regularly
Education:
· High School Diploma Required.
· Trade School/vocational diploma is a plus
