SUMMARY
The Senior Financial Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in guiding the organization’s financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes. This position involves advanced financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning to support business objectives and optimize financial performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop financial models and analyze financial performance, trends, and variances to provide actionable insights to leadership.
Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting in partnership with department leaders.
Manage and optimize financial systems, including Oracle NetSuite and Workday Adaptive, to improve efficiency, integrations, and reporting capabilities.
Identify and implement automation opportunities, including RPA and similar tools, to streamline financial processes and reduce manual work.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and applicable standards.
Support strategic planning and business initiatives through financial analysis, modeling, and scenario evaluation.
Maintain financial data integrity by auditing data, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring appropriate system configurations.
Serve as a financial systems administrator, partnering with IT and vendors on troubleshooting, enhancements, upgrades, and integrations.
Drive continuous process improvements to simplify workflows, strengthen controls, and improve financial accuracy.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior financial analysts as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Expertise in financial systems administration and reporting tools, with a focus on ERP and financial software platforms.

Advanced financial modeling skills and experience in preparing complex forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.

Experience implementing and managing automation tools such as RPA to streamline finance operations.

Strong leadership abilities, with experience mentoring junior staff and managing projects.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for senior leadership.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and financial platforms such as Oracle NetSuite and Workday Adaptive.

Demonstrated problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience with financial technology platforms and systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, Workday Adaptive) is highly desirable.
