Position Overview:
The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial operations across multiple businesses, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of consolidated reporting, intercompany transactions, and the ability to pivot between projects and entities with ease. The ideal candidate is proactive, business-minded, and comfortable in an entrepreneurial setting where priorities evolve quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting functions for multiple entities, including real estate holdings, investment portfolios, and operating businesses.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Handle multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting.
- Develop and maintain internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy.
- Support investment tracking, property-level reporting, and project cost accounting.
- Coordinate with external CPA firm for audits, tax filings, and compliance matters as necessary.
- Provide timely financial insights to assist executive decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity or real estate exposure.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
- Proficient in QuickBooks or similar accounting software; Excel expertise required.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality — comfortable working independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.

Base Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
