Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Java Backend Developer to join our innovative technology team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement server-side applications using Java, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic utilizing frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Design and optimize database schemas for relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server; implement efficient queries using T-SQL or PL/SQL.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and SOAP web services for seamless data exchange across platforms.
- Participate actively in the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance within Agile methodologies.
- Write comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality and facilitate continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Debug complex issues using tools like Visual Studio, Eclipse, or similar IDEs; perform code reviews and provide mentorship to junior team members.
- Implement microservices architecture leveraging AWS cloud services or Azure for scalable deployment solutions.
- Maintain version control using GitHub or TFS (Team Foundation Server) and manage code repositories effectively with SVN or similar tools.
- Ensure adherence to security best practices by implementing authentication protocols such as WCF or OAuth and safeguarding data through encryption techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience in software development with a strong focus on Java backend technologies; familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular is a plus.
- Hands-on experience working with web development tools including HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, AJAX, JSON, XML, and XSLT for building responsive UI components.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), UML design principles, and application development best practices.
- Experience working within Agile environments utilizing tools like TFS or Jira for project management and tracking progress.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes is advantageous.
- Familiarity with database design principles and proficiency in SQL scripting for MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Exposure to cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure for deploying scalable microservices architectures.
- Strong debugging skills combined with experience in unit testing frameworks to ensure robust code quality.
- Ability to work effectively in Linux environments using shell scripting (Bash) for automation tasks.
