About This Role
This position will work closely with agency staff and vendors, becoming a subject matter expert (SME) on the RecTrac system and other agency-specific software. As part of a team, you will work with the Senior Systems Analyst on application analysis and provide Tier 2 end user support. You also will be working with an IT Specialist and will be providing mentoring and guidance. You will assist the Sr Systems Analyst with implementing new programs and modules, as well as adapting to the evolving requirements of the Department of Parks and Recreation.
In this role, you will act as a Systems Analyst on the Parks and Recreation Development team within the Business Technology Services Program of the Department of Information Technology. This team is comprised of 3 IT professionals and is focused on business applications and technology used by the Department of Parks and Recreation. A successful candidate will be a fast learner, eager to develop leadership skills, and comfortable with coaching and mentoring.
The successful candidates will display strong technical expertise, including providing operational support for both on-premises and cloud solutions. They should be adept at managing multiple priorities while delivering technical support across various systems in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, experience collaborating with Technical Support Departments and/or application vendors to resolve issues is essential.
Lastly, effective communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate should be able to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences, collaborate with internal departments and other teams within DoIT, and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
This position will act as backup for the Senior IT Analyst. This position will involve working with the Senior IT Analyst on upcoming projects and staff hardware and software support. This will include collecting requirements and offering solutions already in place in the County. Some solutions could involve use of PowerApps, PowerBI or PowerAutomate. If an in-house solution is not available, the candidate will need to work with other DoIT departments to work on solution or procurement of new software.
This position is also responsible for Tier2 Technical Support.
The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing and updating technical and operational processes as needed.
This position will be responsible for supporting the RecTrac System (main software used by Parks and Recreation) and other agency specific software. The preferred candidate will have experience with user/system administration functions in RecTrac.
The selected candidate will be responsible for mentoring and guidance of the team’s IT Specialist and Interns. This will include offering technical guidance and assistance for Technical Support of staff members. This candidate will need to be able to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical people.
This position will be responsible for updating project requests and work status using Microsoft Planner and Jira. The project requests are submitted via Microsoft Forms.
This position is in a fast-paced environment, and the candidate will need to manage multiple projects and priorities all at one time.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or G.E.D and 5 years of IT Customer Support experience

Work Schedule
This position is classified as exempt with the expectation that the candidate will complete duties within the time frame required. Standard workweek is 37.5 hours, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Self-directed as necessary to accomplish the mission through a combination of in-person, remote (with satellite locations), and travel locally to County Parks and Recreation facilities.
After hours and weekend work are occasionally necessary to provide services that cannot be performed during normal business hours.

Starting Salary Range: $83,272.80 - $105,000
