Westmoreland County based commercial general contractor, ArTECH Group LLC, is looking for a Project Manager to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines, while keeping within budget. This includes coordinating all team members, as well as any third-party contractors, in order to complete projects according to plan. The Project Manager is also responsible for defining the project’s objectives and overseeing quality control of the project.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain adherence to ArTECH Group’s standards of safety
- Project schedule preparation and maintenance (Primavera P-6 software)
- Project bidding procedures and estimation
- Develop preconstruction RFP Package – conduct project meetings, and set milestones
- Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, and pay applications)
- Establish and maintain Owner relationships
- Act as the liaison between Owners, office staff and subcontractors
- Run weekly job meetings
- Ensure project quality control
- Approve pay applications, manage close-out process
- Ensure fair treatment of subcontractors at all times
- Negotiate subcontract change orders
- Input and manage project budget in Sage 100 Contractor
- Ensure all required documentation is received, complete and filed
- Establish overall project logistics
- Formulate monthly Owner report
- Obtain bids from vendors/subcontractors; identifying qualified subs; negotiating price
- Maintain cost keys and price masters by updating information
- Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Prepare special reports as needed by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information/trends
- Assist with ensuring the job is constructed according to the project plans
- Have a thorough understanding of the project including the contract drawings, specification and addenda
- Ensure all permits/licensing is visible, and all inspections have been documented
- Have excellent organizational and time management skills
- Plan, coordinate and direct all on site construction activities
- Monitor expenses to meet budget
- Read construction documents and build specific tasks associated with provided documents
- Track inventory/deliveries of job site supplies and materials in conjunction with superintendent
- Coordinate activities of the subcontractors to ensure schedule stays on track in conjunction with superintendent
- Communicate and enforce job site safety and rules with all workers on site in conjunction with superintendent
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or similar educational background
- 10+ years of commercial construction experience
- Healthcare construction experience a plus
- OSHA training
- ICRA training is a plus
- Previous project management experience
- Ability to execute multiple project management efforts and work with numerous contractors/subcontractors in an efficient manner
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
