Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Prior work in the janitorial industry is preferred.
- Must be prompt with good attendance.
- Reliable transportation.
- Detail-oriented with an emphasis on safety.
Here at Summit Building Services, Inc. we are looking for a Janitor, or custodian, to take care of our buildings and carry out cleaning, maintenance and security duties. The goal is to keep our buildings in a clean and orderly condition.
General Job Description:
AREAS: Lobby Areas, Private Offices/Open Office Spaces, Huddles Rooms, Common Areas & Conference Rooms
Training Rooms, Breakout/Hotel Rooms
1.Sweep exterior entrance and decob up to a 6’ radius and vacuum entry mats.
2.Clean entry glass doors.
3.Spot clean and disinfect touch points, walls, light switches, door surfaces and woodwork.
4.Empty all waste baskets and replace trash liners as needed (Provided by Client).
5.Dust open horizontal surfaces: including but not limited to office furnishings, desktops, credenza and file cabinets, picture frames, door jams, windowsills, and baseboards.
6.Clean and disinfect conference room tables.
7.Vacuum all carpeted areas weekly.
8.Sweep and mop hard floor surfaces.
9.Remove trash to allocated dumpster.
10.Secure doors upon completion of work and set alarm.
AREAS: Restroom (10)
1.Empty and spot clean all wastepaper receptacles. Replace liners as needed.
2.Refill dispensers (soap, paper towel, toilet paper, seat covers, etc.).
3.Clean and polish dispensers and mirrors.
4.Clean, sanitize and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilet bowls and seats.
5.Spot clean walls around wash basin and waste bins.
6.Clean the exhaust and ceiling vents.
7.Sweep and mop floors.
AREAS: Break area
1.Refill dispensers as needed (soap, paper towel, etc.).
2.Empty trash, wipe down exterior and replace liners. Wipe down walls around them.
3.Clean and disinfect countertops and cabinet exterior.
4.Clean and disinfect all appliances exterior.
5.Clean and disinfect all tables and chairs.
6.Sweep and mop hard floors.
7.Clean the interiors and exteriors of microwaves
8.Dust off open shelving in the kitchen area in the Webcor kitchen.
AREAS: Elevators
1.Spot clean exterior & interior surfaces of cab walls and doors.
2.Spot clean exterior surfaces of elevator doors, frames, and panels.
3.Vacuum/sweep cab floor.
AREAS: Stairwells
1.Spot vacuum carpeted steps and landings as needed.
2.Sweep and spot mop hard floor surfaces as needed.
AREAS: Exterior (7)
1.Empty trash receptacles.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.76 per hour
