American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a cancer hospital in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency.

Mixed acuity unit caring for both PCU and Med/Surg patients

Oncology patient population; oncology experience is preferred but not required

Patient ratio of 1:5

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)

Rotating day/night contract is possible — shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on staffing needs

Candidates may self-submit schedule preferences prior to final schedule posting

Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity

Epic EMR experience required

Skills required include IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and tracheostomy management

Active OH or Compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Current BLS certification required

2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Orientation consists of one week of Mon–Fri day shift followed by a second week of 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor

Ohio fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting the position — candidates outside of Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or will be mailed a packet to complete upon receipt

Former employees of the facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation

Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
