About Aquatic Paws
Aquatic Paws helps dogs improve their strength, mobility, fitness, and overall quality of life through individualized aquatic exercise and enrichment. Our facility features underwater treadmill systems and a recreational swimming pool.
We work with dogs of all sizes, ages, and abilities, including pets recovering from injuries, managing mobility challenges, staying active, or simply enjoying the water. Local veterinarians regularly refer clients to Aquatic Paws, and we proudly support Paws of Honor in helping retired military and law-enforcement working dogs enjoy healthier retirements.
What You’ll Do
As a Dog Care Assistant, you will help provide a safe, calm, clean, and comfortable environment for the dogs in our care. Responsibilities include:
- Providing walks and gentle enrichment on the aquatic treadmills or pool
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and common areas
- Observing each dog’s behavior and well-being
- Promptly reporting health, behavioral, or safety concerns
- Communicating important information to the Aquatic Paws team
- Following all safety, sanitation, and animal-care procedures
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is:
- Dependable, punctual, and organized
- Patient and compassionate with dogs of different sizes and personalities
- Comfortable handling large, energetic, elderly, or mobility-challenged dogs
- Proactive and willing to complete cleaning and physical tasks
- Able to work independently while keeping the team informed
- Available to work weekends and holidays
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly walk, stand, bend, and climb stairs
Previous dog-care experience is preferred, but we are willing to train a responsible candidate with the right attitude.
Pay and Benefits
