Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our team full‑time or part‑time. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with marine engines, rigging, and troubleshooting — but we are open to training the right mechanically inclined individual. This role involves working on outboards, inboard/outboards, personal watercraft, and marine electronics in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Rig new engines, controls, gauges, and marine electronics
- Install and service trolling motors and related accessories
- Diagnose and repair outboards, inboard/outboards, and PWC across multiple brands
- Perform routine maintenance and seasonal services
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and fuel‑system issues
- Complete preventive maintenance on company equipment
- Assist with snow plowing and snow removal during winter months
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate clearly with customers and team members
Qualifications
- Previous marine technician or rigging experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow technical manuals
- Experience with outboards, I/O systems, or PWC is a plus
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license required
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently
