Duties
- Supervise daily store activities, ensuring efficient shift management and adherence to company policies
- Lead, motivate, and train team members in customer service, sales techniques, inventory control, and POS (Point of Sale) operations
- Manage employee orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training to foster professional growth
- Oversee cash handling procedures, cashiering processes, and payroll accuracy during your shift
- Conduct interviewing and recruiting efforts to fill staffing needs promptly and effectively
- Monitor inventory levels, perform stock checks, and coordinate purchasing or merchandising initiatives
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints with excellent communication skills, and ensure a positive shopping experience
- Implement sales strategies, pricing adjustments, and marketing promotions to meet store targets
- Maintain organizational standards for cleanliness, safety protocols, and store presentation
- Utilize management tools to track sales data, retail math calculations, and budget adherence
Requirements
- Proven supervising or assistant management experience in retail or grocery environments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively across shifts
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities preferred
- Demonstrated experience with inventory management systems and POS technology
- Knowledge of retail math, sales management, merchandising, and store operations
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform bookkeeping tasks
- Skilled in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, training & development
- Organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control and pricing strategies
- Experience with payroll processing, budgeting, and administrative responsibilities
- Customer service-oriented mindset with phone etiquette proficiency
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
