We are a growing consulting engineering firm providing structural, geotechnical, and civil engineering services throughout the New York metropolitan area. Our projects include commercial buildings, residential developments, structural evaluations, foundation systems, retaining walls, building alterations, and site-related structural improvements.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Structural Engineer with over five years of professional expertise to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design, analysis, and management of structural projects across various sectors, ensuring safety, efficiency, and innovative solutions. This is a primarily remote position with occasional field visits and site observations as required.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, technically strong, and capable of independently managing structural design projects from concept through construction.
Responsibilities
· Perform structural analysis and design for commercial and residential projects.
· Design reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, timber, and foundation systems.
· Prepare structural calculations, reports, specifications, and construction documents.
· Develop structural plans and details using AutoCAD and Revit.
· Coordinate directly with architects, contractors, owners, and municipal agencies.
· Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observations as required.
· Review shop drawings, RFIs, contractor submittals, and change orders.
· Assist with permit applications and regulatory approvals.
· Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards.
· Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedule and budget objectives.
Qualifications
Required
· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or structural engineering.
· Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience.
· Experience designing reinforced concrete and structural steel structures.
· Experience with commercial and residential building projects.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD.
· Working knowledge of Revit.
· Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and applicable building codes.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional site visits.
Preferred
· Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
· Professional Engineer (PE) license.
· Experience with structural analysis software such as Enercalc, STAAD, RISA, RAM, or similar programs.
· Experience performing structural inspections, evaluations, and construction observations.
· Familiarity with New York State building codes and construction practices.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
