Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Cabinet Sales & Design Associate to join our team. This position combines sales, customer service, and kitchen/bath design. The ideal candidate will help customers bring their projects to life by understanding their needs, creating functional and attractive cabinet layouts, preparing estimates, and guiding them through the purchasing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with customers to understand their kitchen, bathroom, or remodeling needs.
- Consult with customers on cabinet styles, finishes, hardware, countertops, and accessories.
- Create professional kitchen and cabinetry layouts using design software.
- Take accurate measurements and review project specifications.
- Develop cabinet selections, quotes, estimates, and proposals.
- Provide product recommendations based on customer preferences, budget, and project requirements.
- Follow up with customers on estimates, designs, and pending projects.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, builders, designers, and other trade professionals.
- Coordinate with vendors, installers, and internal team members to ensure projects are completed accurately.
- Review orders for accuracy before submission and help resolve any issues that arise.
- Coordinate warranty and follow up for completion of projects
- Stay current on cabinet products, trends, design techniques, and industry standards.
- Maintain an organized showroom and professional presentation of products.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cabinet sales, kitchen/bath design, remodeling, construction, or a related field preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to read floor plans and understand measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working with numbers, pricing, and estimates.
- Ability to visualize spaces and create functional designs.
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to build trust and close sales.
- Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn cabinet design software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cabinet design software such as 2020 Design, ProKitchen, Cabinet Vision, or similar.
- Knowledge of kitchen and bath layouts, cabinetry construction, and installation.
- Experience working with contractors, builders, or remodeling professionals.
- Previous retail or showroom sales experience.
