EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position focuses on training mechanics to safely and effectively maintain diesel and construction equipment for PennDOT. Within this role, your responsibilities will involve developing lesson materials, providing technical instruction, and supporting field operations. As a Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic Instructor, you will perform the following duties: Technical Training: Teach proper and safe maintenance methods for department diesel and construction equipmentLesson Development: Create lesson plans, demonstrations, and instructional materials using computers and other training toolsMobile Instruction: Conduct field based mechanic training in districts and counties, inclusive of any necessary travelField Support: Assist mechanics with technical repairs and provide guidance when neededContinuous Learning: Attend vendor and manufacturer trainings and apply new knowledge to department programsClassroom Leadership: Maintain a positive and professional learning environment that supports student successInterested in learning more?
