We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform various cleaning tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through effective floor care techniques including buffing and polishing.
- Ensure all restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies and kept in pristine condition.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas needing attention or maintenance.
- Handle custodial duties such as trash removal, recycling management, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to ensure a safe environment.
- Report any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Uphold safety standards while using chemicals and equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with custodial duties and facilities maintenance practices is advantageous.
- Skills in residential painting or porter duties can be beneficial for this role.
- The ability to operate floor care equipment effectively is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain a clean workspace consistently.
