SBHS is seeking experienced food preparation and set-up persons with a strong work ethic for a fast paced full-service kitchen in our inpatient hospital. Prior large quantity food preparation is highly desired. Must have reliable transportation. This is a position with growth potential within the Dietary Services Department.
Education/Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Prior experience in large quantity food preparation, food services, and basic knowledge of food services sanitation very strongly preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Food Handlers Certificate or enrolled in a certification program within thirty (30) days of hire REQUIRED.
The Dietary Aide is responsible for the following duties: Assisting with preparing the salad bar, maintaining an adequate supply of beverages, ensuring the cafeteria and dining room remain clean at all times, assisting in the preparation and delivery of consumer meals and supplies, operating the dish machine, assisting the cook as required and stocking kitchen necessities on each floor as required.
